The banks and some insurance companies usually finance up to 80% of the purchase or appraisal price (first and second mortgage) with an equity capital of 20% which can be partially financed with the accumulated pension fund.

To the purchase price the buyer has to add the purchase expenses on his account (notarial charges, land register inscription, cantonal stamp duty) which are about 1.7% of the price.
